Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on Korea in Europe (K-Item products, K-Events tickets, etc.) are affiliate links. If you make a purchase or booking through these links, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Which spots and events we feature is decided on the same basis regardless of whether a commission applies.
Information we collect
The email address you enter to sign in (via magic link), plus whatever you type into a "Suggest a place / event / product" form if you choose to submit one (name, category, and any notes) — these submissions aren't linked to your account or any personal identifier. You can browse, search, and filter the map without signing in at all.
Why we collect it
To keep you signed in, connect your wishlist to your account, and review and act on the suggestions you submit.
Where it's stored, and for how long
Your email and wishlist are stored on Supabase (EU, Ireland region). We delete them promptly if you close your account or request deletion.
Stored only on your device
Your recently viewed list, whether you've seen the welcome/location prompts, whether you've dismissed the install prompt, and cached search results are stored only in your browser's local/session storage for display purposes and never sent to our servers. If you're signed in, your session token is also stored this way (in local storage) to keep you signed in.
Error monitoring (Sentry)
We use Sentry to catch and fix bugs. When an error occurs, technical details like browser information and the code stack trace may be sent — we deliberately don't send personal identifiers like your sign-in email.
Site traffic (Vercel Web Analytics)
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless tool that doesn't store personal information, to measure aggregate site traffic only.
Affiliate link clicks
When you click a K-Item product or K-Events ticket link, we log the click (service name, item id, timestamp) in our own database to understand what's popular — no personally identifying information is recorded. You're then taken to a third-party site (the merchant or ticket seller), which has its own separate privacy policy.
View logging
When you open a place or event detail view, we log the item id and the time of the view in our own database to understand what people are looking at. To tell human visits apart from automated access (search-engine crawlers, scripts and the like), your IP address and browser information (User-Agent) are used on our server as inputs to a one-way hash — we do not store the raw IP address or User-Agent. What the database keeps is that hash value and a coarse client type such as "browser" or "automated tool". The date is mixed into the hash, so the value changes from one day to the next: the same visiting environment is grouped together within a day, but this value on its own does not carry across days. We do not use these records to identify individuals.

About the accuracy of listing information
Business details such as opening hours, addresses, and discounts/promotions are compiled from publicly available sources like official websites and social media, and are not updated automatically in real time. Businesses may change or end these without notice, and we don't guarantee the information is 100% complete or accurate. We recommend confirming directly with the business before visiting, and if you spot something that's out of date, please let us know at the email below.
