The Book of Fish (2021, dir. Lee Joon-ik, 2h06, French subtitles) closes Musée Guimet's Korean historical cinema cycle curated by Asian-cinema specialist Bastian Meiresonne. Set in 1801, it follows Confucian scholar and royal advisor Jeong Yak-jeon, exiled to Heuksan Island for his Catholic faith, and his relationship with a young fisherman, Chang-dae. It screens Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at 8pm (doors 7:30pm) at the Jean-François Jarrige Auditorium; admission is free, advance reservation recommended.
